I’ve been a bit under the weather with a cold this week, which has resulted in my lying on the couch while the girls run circles around me trying to entertain themselves. And sometimes apparently I’ve left my phone unguarded – because there are a whole bunch of new pictures on my phone that look like this. Let’s hope this cold goes away soon or my phone will run out of memory!

Philly
We spent last weekend in Philadelphia for my old roommate Ashley’s wedding. It was a super cool wedding with the reception at the Reading Terminal Market with some great food. And we got to do a little sightseeing and cheesesteak eating (I had a hot dog). Here’s Kaya in front of the Liberty Bell. (Just kidding, that’s a fake Liberty Bell. Instead we chose to go out to breakfast at a great deli and bypass the long line for the boring old Liberty Bell).

Inchworm
We made the kids stay at home for more than two hours straight (their usual limit before they go stir crazy) on Sunday so we could straighten up the house and relax a little bit. Luckily we had the Olympics and their new favorite game, “Inchworm” to entertain us. Here’s picture of them playing team Inchworm.

Happy 4th Birthday Kaya!
On Friday we celebrate Kaya’s fourth birthday. I cannot believe it was 4 years ago that I was lounging around my BIDMC hospital room watching the Olympics after my epidural waiting for something to happen. And now I have a 4 year old to watch the Olympics with! Here’s a cute pic of Kaya with her birthday cake and her buddy Ivy.
Ducking responsibility
We spent the last week in Duck, NC at the Outer Banks with many wonderful family members and friends. It was a wicked hot week yet the ocean managed to be freezing for the first half of our stay – luckily it warmed up for swimming toward the end. We had a wonderful time – and Kaya especially had a fantastic week. I’ve never seen her happier. She’s already making plans for next year.
