Just another beautiful day at Duke Gardens. Saturday morning I said to Kaya, “It’s nice out today. We should go on a hike.” And she said, “I don’t like hikes. I fall down on hikes. I want to go to Duke Gardens.” So Duke Gardens we went.

Yoya beat me to uploading this picture and already put it on Facebook, but I can’t resist the blog addition as well. The force was not with the Bulls last weekend as they lost by 1 on Saturday night. And Kaya is clearly not a stormtrooper fan.

We take joint baths now and it is the happiest time of day for everyone!

Dylan taught Kaya how to put the metal thing in the crack of rocks that climbers use so they don’t fall. This post would make a lot more sense if I knew what it was called.  But Kaya placed this one herself!

You girls are growing too fast! Except Laney’s hair – it’s okay with me if that grows.

Last week I decided that Kaya has been recently deprived of Mommy time. So, I picked her up from school early and told her that I was taking her, and only her, out for ice cream for some special Mommy and Kaya time. She liked this idea a lot, until we got to the car. “What about Laney?” she asked. I explained that Laney was not invited because this time was just for her so I wouldn’t be distracted by Laney. “But I want Laney to come.”  I again tried to explain the purpose of the ice cream trip. She was having none of it and started to get visibly upset. So Laney came with us.

This umbrella is bigger than Kaya!
