The highlight of our trip to Ridin Hy this year for the annual Kircher family dude ranch stay was Kaya’s first horseback ride. She wasn’t allowed to actually go on a trail ride due to age, but they led her around the barn and she was SO excited. It was really cute. And she didn’t even do that thing where she seems really excited about something, and then gets really scared when it actually happens (think Mickey Mouse, skiing, rides at Disney World, etc). She loved it the whole time!

Daddy in Boston again? That means breakfast for dinner! (He’s actually back as of yesterday, I’m just slow on the blog posts)

So I know Kaya is not the only 2 year old in the world still in diapers. And she’s average size. So what gives? How is it some diaper changing stations are so small?

This is what the ride to school looks like the morning after daylight saving time starts. The one day of the year that Kaya wants to sleep in. (And despite what Tommy and grammar rules say, I think it should be daylight savingS time)

We made it to Disney World! The rest of the family had nice weather on Thursday and Friday, but I got to join for rainy Saturday. Luckily there are lots of indoor activities – like meeting Mickey! Kaya as not so sure about real-life Mickey.

I dragged the whole family down to Orlando this weekend for an oncology meeting. And look, I’m famous (at least, my head shot was on page 3 of the meeting’s newsletter – but that’s pretty close to famous).

Laney rolled front to back this week! This is the aftermath. She can finally lift her head high enough that when it falls to the side, it now takes her whole body with it. I still call it a milestone.

There are two activities that make cleanup much easier if a toddler is naked. One is potty training. The other is finger painting. Kaya had a 4 hour session where she used the potty three times with no accidents and had fun fingerpainting. She’s clearly ready to be potty trained. I just don’t think Mommy and Daddy are ready. Diapers are so easy.
