We spent the weekend celebrating the end of my first year of fellowship with the other fellows in my class.  We all rented a house for three nights in Wrightsville Beach and attempted to block out our memories of acute leukemia and TTP with 90’s rap music.  Hooray for never being a first year fellow again!

Getting a little end of summer sprayground action in before it starts getting cold.  God I love summer.

We had a nice trip to the Gardens Sunday – it was packed with families and picnics. Kaya may have a future in ultimate frisbee in college.

I worked over Labor Day Weekend and am quite jealous that Kaya, Tommy and Laura went to the Carolina Tiger Rescue and saw tigers. Turns out that lots of tigers live in residential houses in the US, and end up needing to be rescued at some point. And they come here.  Or something like that.  I would know more if I had gotten to go.

We are very disappointed to be back to the grind in Durham this week after a fabulous beach trip.  Kaya has been Miss Grumpypants without constant swimming, playmates and activities.  A few highlights from the week:  

We couldn’t be happier to spend the week in Nags Head at the beach. The water is perfect without seaweed or jellyfish. Pure joy!
