In grand Rose tradition, Kaya paraded around the house with Tommy’s underwear on her head the other day. She had this look on her face that said, “Are you gonna tell this story to my prom date?”

Snow Day!!!  Kaya and I both have a snow day today! We got a good 5 inches yesterday afternoon and the Triangle has shut down.  Luckily, that includes the outpatient clinics at UNC so despite being an oncology fellow that works 80 hours per week, I get a snow day! Kaya celebrated by eating snow.  A lot of snow.

Our new favorite neighborhood hangout is the second closest playground to our house.  Silly Rose family was always going to the sketchy, closest playground. But turns out Oval Park is not that much farther but way better!  Look at the happiness.

Usually Tommy spends February following some fad diet to lose the holiday pounds. Not this year!

We made pigs in a blanket for Super Bowl snacks. Tommy and Kaya had a rolling contest. Which was about 10 times more competitive than the football game. Poor Broncos.

We found a lifesize Max replica at the mall today. He’s not quite as fun as Max though.

Kaya finally discovered the magic of the Glow Unicorn that has been in bed with her since Christmas.

Kaya’s great aunt Winnie is an amazing knitter and Kaya survived her first winter up in Boston with a homemade knit hat compliments of Winnie. Well, we couldn’t be more thrilled to receive a new edition this winter to help us through all these polar vortexes. These hats are beautiful and so well made. They are the only hats Kata will keep on her head as well. Thanks Aunt Winnie!
