Had a great time watching Duke win the national championship last night. Go Devils! Laura and Dylan came over – Dylan and I refused to budge on our affiliations – but Kaya, Laney, and Laura donned both blue and red to watch the game. Even the dogs got dressed up.

Everyone tells me the girls look alike, although I’ve had a hard time seeing it (I think Laney looks like Tommy, and Kaya just looks like Kaya to me!). Laney finally feels solid enough that I think if Kaya were to throw her aside at this point, she’d be fine. So I can now take pictures like this:

Kaya has been on FOUR Easter egg hunts this year – FOUR! Including the Durham one (which was by far the lamest – sorry Durham, I love you but you lost this one), the Hillsborough one, one at school, and one at the museum. She is a professional egg finder actually and has many small trinkets to prove it. And she got to meet the Easter Bunny!

Everybody but Laney watched Duke crush Michigan State en route to the championship game (Laney had to face away from the TV because she’s under two). Go Duke!

The Duke women’s basketball team played round 2 of the NCAA tournament at home last Sunday and we went to the game. It was fun and we had great seats behind the Duke bench and next to #14’s family. Kaya had a great time too, and even managed to find a friend with an iPad.

Kaya’s decided she’d rather raise her baby doll via the attachment parenting methodology.  Next up: Baby-led weaning.

She’s old enough to sit in her bumbo now!

Piolina got to stay at our house this weekend. Things she loved: playing with Max, sleeping in the sun in the backyard, going in to Kaya’s room in the middle of the night and shaking so her collar makes a really loud noise.  Things she didn’t love: Going on walks at Kaya’s speed instead of her own speed.

We finally got a gorgeous 70 degree day yesterday and spent the afternoon outside in the neighborhood. Laney and I ordered some tacos from the drive-thru window at Kaya’s Kitchen.
